Blog Journal #2 While in high school I used Microsoft Word only to do my essays or to sometimes make flyers. So no I am not the most experienced when it comes to Microsoft Word, but I am however excited about everything that I will be learning. I have seen my teachers use it for study guides or to put assignments up on the board. That is about it. As a high school student I did not ever have to copyright anything nor did I know much about how to do it. When writing essays I did have to cite all of my sources and state where I found all of my information from. However EME2040 has been the first class that I have learned about copyright and the fair use of materials. As a teacher, I would make sure to always give credit when it comes to photos, videos, etc. Going over copyright skills with my students will most likely be something that I make sure to do. Blog Journal #1 I believe that just the simple fact of how modern the world is now is why teachers and students are so into technology. Technology has many pros and it has many cons. It makes the world so much easier for us all. Technology helps us to learn many new things and in many different ways actually. I definitely agree with and think that all of the ISTE standards for educators are great. I completely believe that the learner standard is most meaningful to me. I feel as though it is extremely important for teachers to be willing to learn from administration, students, other teachers, parents, and many more sources. I feel that the standard that is outside of my skill set is the designer standard. I agree with the term digital native to a certain extent.
