While in high school I used Microsoft Word only to do my essays or to sometimes make flyers. So no I am not the most experienced when it comes to Microsoft Word, but I am however excited about everything that I will be learning. I have seen my teachers use it for study guides or to put assignments up on the board. That is about it. 


 As a high school student I did not ever have to copyright anything nor did I know much about how to do it. When writing essays I did have to cite all of my sources and state where I found all of my information from. However EME2040 has been the first class that I have learned about copyright and the fair use of materials. As a teacher, I would make sure to always give credit when it comes to photos, videos, etc. Going over copyright skills with my students will most likely be something that I make sure to do. 

In my classroom I know that if technology is included there are going to be some issues. Two important issues are Academic Dishonesty and Cyber Bullying. I would make sure to let my students know all they need to about academic dishonesty, they would know about plagiarism, copyright skills, and everything else that falls under this category. When it comes to cyber bulling my students would know how unacceptable that is and how it affects others. They are going to understand how important it is to not be academically dishonest or to cyber bully anyone.

I visited the Canopy Oaks website.   The school serves grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5 th grade students.   The homepage has a site navigation where you can go directly to teacher websites.   The information that you can see publicly are assignments, homework, the teacher’s bio, and student resources.   There is also a link to a class calendar.     https://www.leonschools.net/Page/2610 In the future I can envision myself using technology effectively and efficiently in many ways. I am sure that I will use a smartboard and my students will most likely all have laptops or tablets. Those are just two of the many ways. Learning analytics can be described as "collecting, analyzing, and reporting data about learners.  This data can be used to help teachers makes decisions based on the data that they get on students.  Data is collected on the student's use and it identify students who may have special needs.  The system can tell the teacher whether or not the student is in need of more help with assigned work.  Learning analytics help teachers with the learning environment and it helps to tailor the instruction that the instructor provides for their students.
