The Flipped Classroom is a resource that teachers can use to help with saving time while presenting content to students.  This instructional design allows teachers to flip the learning and utilize classroom time for guided practice and cooperative learning.  The learning takes place outside of the traditional classroom for students.  The flipped classroom allows the teacher to create videos that are accessible to students so that other activities can be explored during classroom time.

Open educational resources are free and accessible to help with teaching, learning, assessments, and research.  These resources are open and accessible media, text, and other licensed educational content that a teacher may want to use.  Teachers get a wide variety of content when introducing a subject to students which can be helpful for comprehension.  The following article looks at the achievement, challenges, and new opportunities that come along with OER.  https://hewlett.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/ReviewoftheOERMovement.pdf.

New skills acquired from working with the PowerPoint assignments include being able to utilize the hyperlink button and move through the PowerPoint using the navigation buttons created within the presentation.  In addition, adding sound effects was also a new skill that I learned while working with the two PowerPoint assignment.
