I can remember creating a twitter account but never really using it that much or basically at all.  I started another account for this class and this is my first time creating a twitter account in EME 2040 and using it for educational purposes.  Twitter will be helpful in my future career because I can use it to connect with other teachers.  Also, using twitter will help me stay current and see what is trending in education.

The digital divide can put students who do not have as much exposure to technology as the ones who do.  These students are not able to access information or use technology when it comes to school.  This also limit teachers and the content that they introduce to students.  The use of technology makes the teaching and learning process easier for those who have access.  This can limit students who have access as well as those who do not have access.  As a classroom teacher, I will experience students affected by the digital divide.  I will have to modify teaching strategies so that all students can access content that is needed for learning.

I would like to implement Edmodo and Khan Academy.  Edmodo can be used to communicate with students.  Teachers can post assignments, notes, videos, and important announcements for students.  Edmodo can be accessed using a smartphone which many students' have access to.  Khan Academy provides lessons and tutorials for students.  Students can use this tool to get help with homework or review content that they may need extra assistance with.  Teachers and parents can monitor the students' usage of Khan Academy.

    I am sure you will keep learning from your Twitter network as I do. Edmodo and Khan Academy sounds two interesting tools! I enjoyed reading your reflections and learning experience. :)

I visited the Canopy Oaks website.   The school serves grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5 th grade students.   The homepage has a site navigation where you can go directly to teacher websites.   The information that you can see publicly are assignments, homework, the teacher’s bio, and student resources.   There is also a link to a class calendar.     https://www.leonschools.net/Page/2610 In the future I can envision myself using technology effectively and efficiently in many ways. I am sure that I will use a smartboard and my students will most likely all have laptops or tablets. Those are just two of the many ways. Learning analytics can be described as "collecting, analyzing, and reporting data about learners.  This data can be used to help teachers makes decisions based on the data that they get on students.  Data is collected on the student's use and it identify students who may have special needs.  The system can tell the teacher whether or not the student is in need of more help with assigned work.  Learning analytics help teachers with the learning environment and it helps to tailor the instruction that the instructor provides for their students.
